Sadly a high proportion of our structural waterproofing work is rectifying failed systems where the above standard has not been complied with.

When designing a waterproofing system it is essential that the client employs a fully trained and qualified structural waterproofing surveyor and a company whose technicians are trained to correctly install the system.  Many clients have work carried out which is totally inadequate to the site conditions and are often literally left “high and “dry” with a failed system, damaged fixtures and fittings and a totally unusable space.

Guardian’s fully trained and qualified Structural Waterproofing Surveyors (CSSW) are conversant with the relevant British Standard and understand water movement, drainage, water tables and hydrostatic pressure.  They have full knowledge of all structural waterproofing systems and by working alongside the client are able to select and design the most appropriate system for the prevailing conditions.

Structural waterproofing systems are covered by the Guardian 10-Year Certificate of Guarantee and for added security the guarantee can be underwritten, at an additional premium, by Guarantee Protection Insurance Limited, an insurance company authorised and regulated in the UK by the Financial Services Authority and approved by the NHBC & Zurich.

Our advice and recommendations are backed by full professional indemnity insurance and our work is covered by public and products liability insurance. Guardian has been trading since its inception in 1977; making us one of the longest established companies in our field.
